Health Care Reform – Changes in Health Benefits
As of October 1, 2010, carriers are changing their health benefits to comply with new federal laws. Some of the changes are:
- 100% coverage for certain preventive care delivered from network providers
- There is no overall dollar amount on how much carriers will pay for lifetime maximums
- Dependent children can now enroll in your plan up to age 26
- Coverage for dependents to age 19 will include services to treat pre-existing conditions
